About

My immediate family tree served as a template for the fantasy story MICHAEL.  My parents had seven births during a similar timeline as the fictional family.  No twins, however.

My four grandparents and two of my great grandmothers moved to Detroit in 1927, following the call for laborers to the many factories in the city. Now, the 7th generation of my extremely large family continues to live, work, and play in Detroit. I have lived, attended school, and worked in the downtown Detroit area for over half of my life. Now, even in retirement, I still have a strong affinity and love for the city.

Like one of the fictional characters, I attended Cass Technical High School and Wayne State University. My professional career was in Information Technology, yet my B.A. degree was in History. My fascination with history has piqued my interest in international travel, either through business or vacation. I have been as far away as Australia, Africa, India, and have made regular business trips to Europe and Canada, as well as numerous states of the USA.

I regard myself as a storyteller more than a writer. Strange as it may seem, I am actually able to use my programming/logic skills to assist me in organizing the flow of my novels. As you read the novels you will eventually notice the flow between each book, even though it is not obvious in the beginning. Characters from one novel slipping into another novels, even for the briefest of moments. The mystery of the paternal elders, whose story has yet been told. Timelines jumping about, even for short periods. Flashbacks explaining the details that were deliberately held back for effect. Clues for the mysteries left casually about. Minor characters from one novel having major roles in another.

My goal is to write ten or more novels on MICHAEL’s extended family. Like my family tree, his ancestors stretched the timeline of history for over three centuries.

I hope you enjoy my latest hobby.
